Here’s a little more…
Brandon Auret: holds a Bachelor of Arts from Pretoria Technicon. Born
and raised a wild child in Springs, he loved being outdoors; He still
does. Never did he think that his two greatest passions diving and acting
would lead to an idea that two friends would one day become so obsessed
about. He has been blessed with so many exciting opportunities in stage,
film and television. But never has he been this excited about a project.
Ever.
Emmanuel
Castis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Art (Honours) from WITS
University. He majored in Television, Performance Studies and Improvisation.
Just to give you a taste of exactly what Emmanuel has been up to: 5
years on Isidingo in a Principle role; he has presented Live Time on
SABC 3; he has been extremely involved in producing various productions
in both theatre and video genres.
Each
episode will be broken down into a spectrum of dive-related aspects:
The location including special attributes. Exploring with dive experts.
Each episode will feature an expert, on each of the locations, who will
dive with the presenters (enabling the presenters to interact and talk
with the expert, via an underwater speaker system) The diving segment
itself featuring the unique sea life of the area with special focus
on environmental issues and biodiversity.
For
the non-diver we will discover a plethora of activities that they can
enjoy whilst we are diving. Chats with the locals who make diving their
lives. Back on land, we’ll explore the lives of the people who have
made the dive destinations their homes. We’ll be diving into their world,
immersing ourselves in their traditions, passions and their food.
Fun seafood cooking module. The cooking segment will vary in it’s position
in the episode according to the meal time. For some of the episodes
we will include an insert related to the under-privileged. (e.g. Introducing
handicapped children to the world of dolphins off the coast of Mozambique.)
At
the end of each episode we will feature The Breathe Photo Wall - with
a large map of South Africa. Each week a different photograph capturing
a highlight of the episode taken by Emmanuel will be placed on the map
(oh – he also works magic with a stills camera!) During the credit roll,
we will have a squeezeback with some fun images taken with our presenter’s
handicam.
