Entry
number 10
Ok so I guess you’re wondering why the last message
ended so abruptly. Well you see there are these things we call conveniences
like computers, and as it so happened the convenience that I have in
the form of Laptop, decided to just go on it’s own tangent and reboot.
So hence the abrupt ending to the last entry cause I came everything
short of throwing the thing out of the window…I mean we spend millions
on trying to invent things that are more convenient and all they do
is create more hassle.
However I will continue the entry from last week,
but not before I tell you about what day it is.
It is my coming of age, but not just any coming of age, it’s the BIG
THREE O!
Yup, thirty years old. I have been on this planet for three decades.
Who da thunk it!
Well let me tell you it’s a bit weird thinking about it. I don’t think
much is different, but I have over the last couple of months felt a
little change in my thinking. A sort of mind shift if you will. Well
I don’t know i\I kind of think I’m seeing things in a little more of
a grown up way than I used to before. I’m starting to not sweat the
small stuff. But I guess that remains to be seen since I have only been
thirty for a couple of hours. I could maybe blow up over something small
one day and accidentally shoot someone…who knows stranger things have
happened, although I don’t own a gun, so that would be impossible.
Let me tell you about the events leading up to my
thirtieth. Not by any particular design for my thirtieth though.
It just so happened that the A1 Grand Prix was on
the weekend before my thirtieth, and BJ and Andre invited me Bran and
Dan to it for the weekend. So we drove down on the Friday afternoon
and arrive in Durbs at around 10:30pm. We then met Kevin Graham; one
of the owners of ‘Free Spirit’ the yacht. We stayed on her for the weekend.
I now know why yachts are refered to in the feminine sense. They are
beautiful, and ‘Free Spirit’ in particular is beautiful.
